San Juan County’s Public Works Department announces the overnight closure of Olga Rd on November 2-3. The road will be closed for 12 hours while a culvert is replaced.
A section of Olga Rd between Kahboo Hill Road and Twin Maples Ln (between Moran State Park and Olga) will be closed on Wednesday, November 2 starting at 6:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3. During this time, no thru traffic will be permitted. There are no detour routes available, therefore residents are encouraged to plan ahead.
Background: This culvert replacement project is critically important to protect the roadway from washing out during a heavy rainstorm event. The existing culvert has failed and Public Works crews are working quickly to maintain the safety of county roads.
