Meeting Today (Weds. Sept. 19) at Eastsound Fire Hall at 5:30 p.m.
The Board of Directors of the Orcas Recycling Services (ORS)/The Exchange Orcas non-profit has set up an online link where people can sign a petition requesting that the contract for management of the Orcas Transfer Station give control of the revenue-producing tipping floor to ORS, with trucking and route hauling operations be directed to Cimarron Trucking (which currently provides those services).

The Board reminds the public that there is a meeting scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 19 at the Eastsound Firehall at 5:30 p.m.
I signed the petition – it’s important to give ORS a chance to show what they can do.
BUT
I am offended by the inescapable donation screen at the end which appears to be a donation to the polling firm – not clearly stated either way!
