The Orcas Island School Board will hold their regular monthly meeting Thursday afternoon at 5:30 p.m.
Items for action on the budget include finalizing enrollment projections, an essential component of structuring the 09-10 school year, and reading a memo of understanding with the Orcas Education Association, the District’s teachers’ union.
The Board will also finalize the calendar for the 2009-2010 school year and hear reports from the Business Manager, the Superintendent/High School Principal Barbara Klein, the Elementary/Middle School Principal Tom Gobeske, the Orcas Island Education Foundation, the Parent-Student-Teacher Association, the Orcas Education Association and the Associated Student Body organization.
The public is welcome to attend this meeting.
