The new Swan Road intersection at Orcas Road is now open to traffic with increased sight distance for driver safety. More work in the area still to come later on in the project.
Construction now moves north and next week we will see the west lane of the new road being developed while traffic uses the existing east lane of the old road. Relocated traffic control lights will be used next week while one lane is open.
Traffic control lights will continues in use during the week. Note that fines are doubled in the work zone.
Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. The speed limit in the work zone is 25 mph at all times.
