Orcas Road has now been striped and the areas alongside of the road are hydroseeded. Enjoy the experience of driving along a road with better sight distance and shoulders the entire length of the project.
Drive safely and please observe the speed limit. Thank you to the Orcas community for your patience during this road construction project. Enjoy the rest of your summer season with no delays on Orcas Rd.

We drove the new road to town last night. The disturbing thing are the choices made for turns to Nordstrom Lane and Swan Rd. They are hazardous as they require traffic to stop on a curve to make the turn. Also the old turn offs are not marked as closed. Someone could easily make the mistake of still trying to turn there. I don’t understand the thinking there. Hoping these old turns will be barricaded or marked.
