Statement from John Dann:

I am running as a retired surgeon with 40 years clinical experience, as well as administrative experience in a major SFBay area hospital and as the founder of a non-profit surgical organization.

My stance on the hospital district is simple – we need to provide 2 to 3 general practitioners on the island for our residents – no more, no less. In this day and age, general practitioners require a community subsidy in light of the woefully inadequate reimbursement provided for the Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements provided by the politicos in Washington. DC.

It seems to me that the input of a physician to the group disbursing public funds for medical care on the island should be mandatory.
