The Orcas Island Clothing Bank will return this fall, offering community members an opportunity to find clothing and other household items while giving gently used goods a second life.

The Clothing Bank will be held Oct. 24-25 at the Orcas Christian School (OCS) gymnasium.

The event will be open from 1-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25. Community members are encouraged to shop both days, with new items added to the selection Sunday.

In its early days in 1994, the Clothing Bank was held at the Odd Fellows Hall in town before later moving to the OCS gymnasium.

One thing that makes the event unique is that it serves multiple people and needs.

“The Clothing Bank has become a great tradition on Orcas Island, bringing neighbors together to share items, help local families and make sure good clothing continues to be used,” said Clothing Bank organizer Dawn Parnell.

This year’s Clothing Bank will feature clothing, shoes, accessories and linens.

Clothing Bank Days and Hours
