On Orcas Island, each and every one of us plays a role in providing the seeds, soil, water, and sunlight needed to grow and sustain a high quality of life for all. Thank you for digging deep and nurturing the community together during Spring GiveOrcas!
The bounty of our collective efforts over the past 10 days was plentiful, with donations totalling $264,408. With an additional $97,174 from the Community Foundation’s Partners in Philanthropy and endowment funds, we reached an impressive total of $361,582. With 522 donors and 1,489 donations, we fully funded 15 grant requests and reached 82% of our GiveOrcas goal overall!
Congratulations to all of our 31 grantees, and their outstanding efforts to connect with the community and promote the campaign, and for cheering each other on. We are especially grateful for the impactful work that they all do for the community and look forward to watching their programs grow and thrive as this round of GiveOrcas funding is put to use.
We hope you enjoyed learning about the incredible programs and projects island nonprofits are working on, and remain engaged by continuing to support their work.
We’re blooming with gratitude for all who gave generously this spring, and thankful to the OICF Community Grants Committee and Board of Trustees for their time and enthusiastic support.
