The 10th Annual Concert-in-the-Park series comes to a close Sunday, Aug. 30 with a final performance from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the village green stage in Eastsound.
The final show includes a reunion of all four Orcas Idol winners — Jenole Peacock (2006), Jason Kraayeveld (2007), Locket Goodrich (2008), and Pamela Wright (2009).
Their performances will be followed by an open mic available to all islanders and audience members.
A limited number of times slots are available for the open mic. Participants are encouraged to arrive early in order to pick their song accompaniment.

Hosted by Leslie Seaman, the free concert series has run every Sunday evening since July 5 on the Village Green Stage.
Audience members are encouraged to dress warmly and to note the early concert start time — 5 p.m. — in consideration of the late-summer lower temperatures.
Orcas Idol will return Feb. 2010 at the Orcas Center. That winner will receive a cash prize and a professional recording session. All proceeds from the Orcas Idol performances support programs and projects of Orcas Island Prevention Partnership’s (OIPP) coalition members. For further information contact DLaslo@aol.com.
