It’s Time To Get your Act Together!

The wildly popular “Orcas Has Talent” show will return to the Orcas center stage February 4, 2012 where the audience will vote for their favorite “act.” The winner will once again take home a $500 cash prize!

Auditions will be held in January but acts must sign up in December. “We want to know earlier this year who will be participating in the show,” says Donna Laslo event producer.  “We are encouraging artists to start now so they will be ready for their January audition. Five hundred dollars is a lot of money and we want people to really go for it,” continues Laslo.

The always fantastic “Orcas Has Talent Junior” competition featuring the up and coming talented Orcas youth will happen in January on The Grange stage. The winner will be awarded a $50. cash prize and the chance to compete with the adults!

Back by popular demand is the “Special Talents” video.  The video viewed during a voting round was 7 minute display of locals showing off their hilarious and often amazing “special” talents.  A few from last year included: a person who’s eyes go in two different directions, tongue folding in half, a singing dentist & his assistant and even a talented dog!

If you are ready to sign up for Orcas Has Talent, the Junior competition or would like to be featured in our “Special Talents” video, please send a request to: orcashastalent@gmail.com. All net proceeds go to Orcas Island Prevention Partnership.
