Contestants are preparing to take the stage for the Orcas Has Talent audition show on the Grange stage on Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m.

The competition is open to singers, musicians, dancers, comedians, magicians, and talent of all kinds, from high school students to adults. The talented and entertaining judges will award the top 8 acts their “Golden Ticket,” which is a pass to compete at the Finale Show at Orcas Center on Feb. 4, where they hope to win the hearts and the votes of the audience and take home the grand prize of $500.

Orcas Has Talent, Jr. competition is open to youth in grades five to eight and will be held at 2 p.m. The always-encouraging judges will select the top junior talent and the winner will have the choice to either perform for the Finale Show or go up against the adults and grab the grand prize of $500.  The judges for this year are Susan Babcock, Bob Shipstad, Joe Babcock and Anita Orne.

For the shows at the Grange on Jan. 21, tickets are sold at the door. Orcas Has Talent Junior, 2 p.m., $5, doors open at 1:30 p.m.   Orcas Has Talent audition show is at 7:30 p.m., $10, doors open at 7 p.m.

Orcas Has Talent Finale Show at the Orcas Center, is Feb. 4 at 6:30 p.m. General admission tickets will be on sale at  Darvill’s Books starting Jan. 23. Adults $25, youth $15 (ages 12 and under).
