The Orcas Island Food Bank provides healthy, culturally relevant, and equitable food access to community members experiencing food insecurity. Help us keep our doors open and people fed while participating in a dynamic, forward-thinking team.

AmeriCorps members assist management in operations, including customer service, volunteer supervision, and food distribution. Apply now. Interviews start August 1 with a September 1 start date. We are committed to building a diverse staff. This term only, thanks to grant funding in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are thrilled to be offering a living allowance of $3,143.24/month. ($26,717.54/term)

What is the Washington Service Corps (WSC)? 
WSC AmeriCorps members are placed with schools, nonprofit organizations, state, local, and tribal government agencies, and faith-based organizations to address a variety of unmet and pressing community needs. Members for the 2022-2023 term at the Orcas Island Food Bank (OIFB) will serve 1,200 hours (8.5 months), 40 hours weekly. The skills you learn during service can help you prepare for a future career.
