Based on community feedback, all Orcas Bakery founding membership bread subscriptions are now redeemable for 10 years (up from two). Bagel, cookie, and granola subscriptions are also good for a decade.
We are launching a sourdough bakery on Orcas Island and need your help. Orcas Bakery is a member-owned co-op, and members receive a lifetime 20% discount. Rather than a donation-based (go-fund-me type) model, Orcas Bakery is pre-selling founding membership shares bundled with 50 loaves of bread. Proceeds will allow us to open the bakery, so full-time, part-time, and seasonal islanders need to get their pre-orders in, or we won’t be able to open.
Free samples: Grab your friends and come see us in the Orcas Island Market Deli from 3-6pm Wed-Thu-Fri (Dec. 13-15) and taste samples of our breads and bagels made fresh by our head bakers, Shawna and Murph.
