NOTICE
The OIPRD Board of Commissioners is required to exert due diligence in soliciting a statement opposing the District’s request for funding. The November 2, 2010 General Election ballot will include a Measure worded more or less as follows:
WILL THE ORCAS ISLAND PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT BE AUTHORIZED TO IMPOSE REGULAR PROPERTY TAX LEVIES OF 10 CENTS PER THOUSAND DOLLARS OF ASSESSED VALUATION FOR EACH YEAR FOR SIX CONSECUTIVE YEARS?
The opposing statement will appear in the Voter’s Pamphlet. The deadline to submit measure statements for the November General Election is August 27, 2010.
