— from Vala Ross —
Are you a boy between the ages of 8 and 12 who loves baseball and follows the Seattle Mariners? (Or do you know a boy who does?) If so, you may have the opportunity to see the Mariners play the LA Angels in their last home game of the regular season on Sunday, September 28 at 1:10 pm. We will be departing from Eastsound at 10:30 am and flying to and from Seattle, with ground transportation being provided to and from Safeco Field.
If you would like to be one of the five boys chosen, please write a one-page letter explaining why you should be selected. Be sure to include your contact information! Mail letters to:
Orcas Christian School
Attention: Mariners Game
107 Enchanted Forest Rd
Eastsound, WA 98245
Send it by Monday, September 15. You will be contacted by September 22 if you have been selected to go. You’ll be given additional details about the trip at that time.
Please call Orcas Christian School at 376-6683 with any questions.

For those who question why it is only available to boys, please know that this opportunity is being presented by a parent who is attending with his son and another dad. Thank you for your understanding.
Why only boys????
So this Dad made the decision?
Yes, this was the choice of the father, who wanted to extend the offer to boys of his son’s age group. This event is not sponsored by Orcas Christian School, we are simply receiving the letters of application for him. Thank you, again, for your understanding. Don’t forget to send the letters by MONDAY SEPTEMBER 15.
