High School and Youth Sailing
Sail Orcas is hosting a fund raising dinner on June 29th at the Orcas Island Yacht Club in West Sound. It is only $25 for a Steak or Salmon plate and for the young people $10 for a hamburger or hot dog. The proceeds will go to help purchase needed sailing dingies for the kids. Please come join the fun, hear about the High School Sailing Team and help support a very worth cause. For details go to the Sail Orcas website.

Cal 20 Sailing
Members of Sail Orcas can frequently be found sailing one of the club’s two Cal 20 sailboats during the summer months. The Cal 20 is a simple day-sailor and they are tons of fun to take out for an afternoon and there is no charge to use them. You just need to reserve them (Bert or Ernie) in advance. Go to the web site and renew your membership or sign up for the first time. The membership cost is low, $75 for an individual and $100 for a family. To take the boats out, you need to have some experience sailing and be able to sail away from a dock and back again. If you need a refresher course to brush up on your skills, call our adult head coach Chris White at 360-920-7718.
