Open House Scheduled on Orcas Island Road, Trails & Drainage Improvements

The San Juan County Public Works Department is holding an Informational Open House Thursday, January 14, 2010, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Eastsound Fire Hall on Orcas Island, to present the Mount Baker Road and Spruce, Alder and Hemlock Streets projects.

The department is asking for public input on how to make the projects most beneficial to the residents of Eastsound and Orcas Island before design, right-of-way acquisition and permitting begin.

Work on Spruce, Alder and Hemlock Streets is scheduled to begin this Spring and the Mount Baker Road project is scheduled for the summer of 2012.
