You are invited to a Candidates Forum with OPALCO candidates.
The forum will be held on Tuesday, April 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grace Hall, Lopez Island. The forum is sponsored by the Islands Energy Coalition (IEC).
There are 5 candidates for the Lopez position running for two seats on the OPALCO Board. District 3 LOPEZ Candidates are:
- Michael Karp
- Dwight Lewis
- Jerry Gonce
- Jim Lett, Incumbent
- Bob Myhr, Incumbent
There is one candidate and one seat open for Shaw. District 4- SHAW Candidate
- John Bogert, Incumbent
Directors will be elected at the annual meeting May 4. Ballots are issued sometime in April. Members county-wide will get to vote for the two open positions.
Those attending will be allowed to both make comments and to ask questions after introductory comments by the candidates.
