Get ready to rev up the excitement at the most electrifying event of the year – the ALL NEW OPALCO Annual
Meeting Festival! Mark your calendars for April 26th, when the OPALCO Eastsound parking lot will be
transformed into a hub of fun, freebies and festivities for the whole family from 3-6 pm.
From swag giveaways to an EV show and informational booths, there’s something for everyone at this Co-op
member appreciation event. OPALCO’s linecrew will host safety demos and games, showing how they keep our
community powered up and safe. Kids can get their own lineworker hard hat, touch a truck and play in a
bouncy house.
The BBQ will be fired up with hot dogs and hamburgers. Get up close and personal with the latest in electric
vehicle (EV) technology, including the newest models from mainland EV dealers. Test drive an electric bike
from Wildlife Cycles and check out the latest in home electric tools from Orcas Rental & Saw. Home efficiency
experts will showcase ductless heat pumps and heat pump water heaters.
Meet the Board! Co-op leadership will be on hand to answer questions about our tidal exploration project –
and all things OPALCO. Co-op members can also learn more about our Bailer Hill Community Solar Project and
get on the list for project updates and subscriptions.
Feeling lucky? Don’t miss out on our incredible raffle, where you could walk away with fantastic, valuable and
useful electric prizes that will leave you buzzing with excitement! Prizes include electric lawn tools, shop-vacs,
cordless vacuums, kitchen tools, coolers, a paddleboard and more! Stop by the welcome booth under
OPALCO’s covered front entry to get your bag of goodies and a schedule of events for the day.
Parking is on the east side of the OPALCO building at 183 Mt. Baker Road. We encourage EV drivers to bring
their own electric vehicles to show at the festival. EVs may park on the west side of the parking lot in the
designated area.
If you are planning on coming over from other islands and need a shuttle ride from (and back to) the ferry,
please email communications@opalco.com. Each year, the annual meeting festival will rotate to other islands.

The business portion of the Annual Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 25 th @ 8:30a on Zoom. Board
