||| FROM WOODY CISKOWSKI |||

There will be a one-night-only free screening of the new documentary The Librarians. The event will be Thursday December 18 at 7pm at Sea View Theatre. The screening is hosted by Woody Ciskowski.

The Librarians premiered at Sundance film festival and is currently showing around the country. A synopsis of the film: “As an unprecedented wave of book banning is sparked in Texas, Florida, and beyond, librarians under siege join forces as unlikely defenders fighting for intellectual freedom on the front lines of democracy, flanked by concerned community members and young readers.

The Librarians is a chilling cautionary tale and rallying cry for freedom – told through the personal experiences of librarians under siege and the everyday patriots who join their ranks in defense of the books.”

The show is free and open to all ages (with an awareness that some of the content of the film may be upsetting). The film is 90 minutes long. The concession booth and lounge will be open for snacks and drinks. Donations for the theater are welcome.

Please join for this relevant, thought-provoking film.
