Have you been wondering what the Olga Symphony has been up to lately?  Well, wonder no more:  they have been madly dusting off old favorites and working up new musical masterpieces for their upcoming holiday concerts at Orcas Center, November 23 and 24 at 7:30pm.

Their shows have become a seasonal tradition for many islanders, and this year’s performance promises to once again provide something for everyone since, as band member Anita Orne quips: “eclectic is too narrow a term to describe what we do.”  Other band members include Gordon Koenig, Melinda Milligan, JP Wittman and Dave Zoeller, singers all and players of so many instruments that there is no room on the stage for other musical friends this year (at least that is what they told the band).  Nevertheless, JP assures us there will be plenty of surprises, as well as the usual formal dress.

Tickets are still priced at the 1995 level of $5.00, and are available at the Orcas Center box office or website, and usually sell out early.  All proceeds from the shows benefit Orcas Center and other island nonprofits.
