Next in the series of summer Brown Bag concerts presented on Wednesdays at noon at Emmanuel Church throughout the summer is the wildly popular Olga Symphony.
The group began over 25 years ago when a group of friends gathered to make music together at the Olga Store. When asked what kind of music they like to play, the response is “good tunes that at least one of us likes”, and the music they make with instruments such as violins, bass, mandolin, guitar and saw is always fun and entertaining. Their concerts and CD’s have earned them a fan base from all over the island, and their tradition of donating all proceeds from their concerts and CD’s to local charities is
greatly appreciated.
This concert is free, as are all Brown Bag concerts, although donations are welcome as these concerts fund a scholarship to send young Orcas musicians to music camp in the summer.
Come early, as seating is limited, and bring a brown bag lunch to enjoy on the lawn by the Eastsound shore after the concert.
