Saturday, October 15 from 11 a.m. til 4 p.m
Come celebrate the arrival of Fall at the Olga Fall Harvest Celebration with a fundraiser to help maintain the historical Olga Clubhouse. This Saturday, October 15 join the fun at the Olga Energetic Clubhouse and the Olga Park from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
While sipping hot fresh-pressed cider and eating delicious baked goods, you can peruse the huge sale of fabrics and linens, craft supplies, bedding, and handmade quilts by Betty Marcum, a Master Quilter who lives in Olga.
In response to numerous requests over the years, she has offered to sell some of her beautiful quilts at this special event. Betty and her sisters, Judy Slater and Dorothy Lundquist, took up quilting in 1975 and have been quilting ever since. Betty guesses that over the years she has made between 300 and 400 quilts, many from original designs.
And now you have a great opportunity to buy one!
This is a family-oriented celebration. There will be field games for kids from 1 until 3 p.m. at the Olga Park, which is right next to the Olga Community Center (Energetic Club).
Any donations of baked goods, linens, fabrics, bedding, and craft supplies are welcome. Call Alexandra Gayek at 376-5484 to arrange a pickup or drop off time.
