Don’t miss Olga Daze, the Island’s beloved celebration that captures the laid-back charm and artistic spirit of the historic hamlet of Olga.
Beginning at 10:00am in Olga Park, start your day at the bake sale with world famous maple bars, then join in the fun that includes children’s activities featuring face painting, a pie eating contest and games. There are lots of booths featuring local goods and fun facts about the history of Olga.
The parade, featuring an OIFR fire truck, begins at noon and with antique cars, musicians, silly hats and costumes, plus a chance to ride on the fire truck, it is always a highlight of the day. Live music featuring our local island talent will play all day.
Enter the raffle to win a beautiful, handmade quilt. Tickets can be purchased at the event, or ahead of time weekends at Island Market. The drawing is at 1:45 and you do not have to be present to win.
Hot dogs, drinks and other tasty treats are on tap for lunch.
The Island’s biggest and best yard sale is not to be missed. You’ll find lots of hidden gems at bargain prices. If you’d like to donate items to the sale, there will be a drop off on July 11th and 12th between 3:00PM and 6:00PM in Olga Park in front of the red and white shack. No clothing, CDs or books please.
Olga Daze supports the nonprofit Olga Community Club and its historic 1913 Energetics Club building, so have fun knowing you’re supporting a great cause!
You’ll find lots to love about Olga so spend the day exploring its quaint historic community. The east side of Orcas is full of activities and you can make a day of it. Moran State Park and the famous mansion and Marina in Rosario are on your way to or from Olga. Doe Bay and Pt Lawrence are a few miles past Olga.
Come enjoy a special Olga hospitality. See you there!
