||| FROM BLAKE WILSON for ORCAS SCHOOL DISTRICT |||

After much thought and consideration the administrative staff have concluded that, for the safety of the students, all Orcas Island schools will continue distance learning for the remainder of the week.

With temperatures dropping well below freezing and not much possibility of a melt to release cars and make roads safe to travel on, we believe it is in the best interest of the community that we finish out the year safely.

No on-campus classes will be held until after we return from break, however each school will be holding virtual classes online. Please refer to the holiday news letter link that has many updates for the rest of the week and the break.

We would like to wish everyone a happy, safe holiday, and a Happy New Year as well! Stay cozy, everyone!
