Last year, when the Orcas High School Sailing Team won the right to represent the Pacific Northwest Region at the team race nationals, we asked for your financial help. The response was amazing and we still thank you for that support.
This year the Team (through hard work at their training sessions, superb coaching, and a bit of local homegrown talent) was 1st at the team race and 2nd at the fleet race NWISA qualifying regattas. Consequently they will represent our region at the ISSA Mallory Fleet Race National Championship in Houston, Texas on May 12-13 and the ISSA Baker Team Race National Championship in San Diego, California on May 26-27. The costs to send the kids and their professional coach to two regattas is huge! So here we are again asking once more for your support. We really need it to pull this off. Please give so they can go compete.
