The San Juan County Canvassing Board will convene at 8:30 am on December 1, 2025 to set the date and time of a manual recount of the votes cast during the 2025 General Election for the office of Lopez Park and Recreation District Commissioner No. 5.

San Juan County has been notified by the Office of the Secretary of State that a recount of votes in the race for Lopez Park and Recreation District Commissioner No. 5 needs to be completed. The final election results of the 2025 General revealed that the difference in votes between the candidates in the race for Lopez Park and Recreation District Commissioner No. 5 was less than 0.25%. This thin margin is prompting a recount.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to RCW 42.30, that the San Juan County Canvassing Board or its duly appointed delegates will convene at 8:30 am, December 1, 2025, for the purpose of setting the date and time of a manual recount of the votes cast during the 2025 November 4, General Election for the office of Lopez Park and Recreation District Commissioner No. 5. This meeting will convene in the San Juan County Elections Office at 55 Second St, Suite A, Friday Harbor, WA.
