San Juan County Parks, Recreation, and Fair Department, in cooperation with WA State Department of Natural Resources and San Juan County Fire District 4 (Lopez), will be performing a prescribed burn at Odlin County Park on Lopez Island October 23, 2025.
- Where: Odlin County Park: 148 Odlin Park Road, Lopez Island, WA 98261. The burn will take place near the park entrance, on the uphill side (East) of the main park road.
- When: Thursday, October 23, 2025
Project Background
In the summer of 2025, County Park staff, along with the San Juan Islands Conservation Districts Youth Conservation Corps (YCC), worked together to collect woody debris from the forest floor for brush piles. This burn will help with fuels reduction as well as providing a training opportunity for San Juan County Fire District 4.
