An outstanding DOUBLE ENTENDRE: Yes the First Amendment is under attack, just as our Constitutional Republic is under continuous attack from the America hating left.
On 9-10-25, A young man was brutally murdered in front of friends and family while quietly, civilly and calmly exercising his first amendment rights to freely debate his convictions. THEN 33 hours later a suspect was arrested and identified by his family as a radicalized leftist. THEN three days later that a failing comedian, Jimmy Kimmel, maliciously and falsely asserted that “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it” while continuing that Trump’s grief for his friend was “how a 4-year-old mourns a goldfish.”
Two ABC affiliates THEN pulled the Kimmel show from their lineups; THEN ABC announced his suspension; THEN Citizen Trump, exercising his first amendment right opined concurrence with ABC action; THEN following that FCC Chairman Brendan Carr noted correctly in a separate interview that public broadcast frequencies are regulated for the benefit of all the people by his agency and that Kimmel, ABC and its parent company Walt Disney Co. can be held accountable for spreading misinformation.
There is no logical connection between the network actions, taken for commercial purposes and “brand protection”, and subsequent (first amendment protected) commentary that followed. But then conspiracy theorists don’t follow logic.
No, the attack is from the left, the democrats who brought us the DISINFORMATION GOVERNANCE BOARD: an advisory board of the United States Department of Homeland Security, from March 2, 2022, to August 24, 2022.

So, Mr. Peterson, what happened to Kirk was atrocious and horrible, and never should have happened to anyone – let alone someone exercising their First Amendment rights to free speech. I want to be ABSOLUTELY clear on that, so you do not misunderstand me.

Kimmel’s firing was absolutely targeted. As per usual, Trump broadcast his intent before carrying it out.
After Kimmel’s segment aired, FCC Chairman Brendan Carr stated on the conservative Benny Johnson Podcast “We can do this the easy way, or we can do this the hard way. Lastly, according to the ADL (an independent research group) in the period of 2024-25, as of February of this year, all 13 extremist-related murders in the United States in 2024 were committed by right-wing extremists. In the past decade, far-right extremists have been responsible for the vast majority of extremist killings in the U.S.
I will also point out that in July – two months ago – that Democratic Representative Mellissa Hortman, her husband Mark Hortman *AND THEIR DOG* were brutally assassinated by Vance Boelter – a Republican.
Additionally, just days ago, a Fox host stated that homeless people should be killed, on live TV.

For the record, and contrary to your claims of Left leaning violence, no one on the Left called for war, made the threats, or spread the hate or misinformation regarding the incident that the Republicans are currently doing regarding Kirk’s assassination.
My sincere hope is that everyone will see that having billionaires play Americans off of each other in the manner that they are doing for their own profit is contrary to what it means to be American, and to civil society. This is not how we are supposed to be, nor how we are supposed to treat our fellow Citizens. We are better than this. Being American isn’t about “Us vs. Them”, or one party over the other, white vs. black.

And making America great again isn’t about destroying democracy It is about restoring and revitalizing our Constitutional Republic – an American Renaissance. It is about returning to the 14th Amendment’s guarantee of EQUAL protection – EQUAL opportunity, EQUAL treatment for ALL, including citizen Trump who absolutely DID NOT “target” Kimmel. The facts are as I outlined them, we know that Kimmel was not targeted because last night ABC announced his return starting tonight, but its major affiliate announce that it would continue to preempt his show. Both actions being completely independent of demonized Trump, but none of which eradicate Kimmel’s monstrous lie.
No more DEI double standards, no more special treatment, no more autopen, no more weaponized administrative state staffed by one party – only “good faith” governance that ensures a level playing field so that each of us can write our own story – that’s called FREEDOM and America has done a better (not perfect) job of that than any nation in world history.
And yes Mr. Watson kudos for an outstanding DOUBLE ENTENDRE that leaves individual perspectives to ponder current events and the future.

“Us vs. Them” is an inherent aspect of the political divide… it always has been and always will be.
There are many countries in the world that are free… with some being much more so than the U.S. Whether you consider the (continuing) subjugation, repression, and domination, (the attempted genocide and ethnic cleansing) of the native Americans who were legitimately here before us, or the fact that America was built upon the backs of slavery, or the deep divide over trans and gay rights, or corporations v/s people, or the divisions created by the Military Industrial Complex, etc., etc., etc. (the list being quite lengthy), America was founded upon, was built upon, and has always been tainted with some version of “Us vs them”.

Each president and each administration is responsible for their share of both good and bad. It’s only in retrospect that we find out the truth, (some of it, and some of us anyway), and begin to realize that even those presidents and administrations (from both sides of the aisle), who we had always thought of as having accomplished great things while they were in power… were themselves responsible for terrible atrocities. Phil, for the sake of those of us who are having difficulty discerning bullshit from brilliance could you provide some source material that might help us better understand your thoughts? I ask this because my morning reading from several dozen different news sources don’t paint nearly as hopeful a picture for America, (or the rest of the world), under this administration as do you. In fact, from the following source, (which is a compendium of various sources), if only half of what I’m reading is true… then our future under this administration is truly looking bleak.
