The Office of the Secretary of State has directed San Juan County to conduct a mandatory manual recount for the Office of Lopez Park and Recreation District Commissioner No. 5.

The County Canvassing Board has scheduled the recount to begin on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 9 a.m. The recount will take place at the Elections Office at 55 Second St, Suite A, in Friday Harbor.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to RCW 42.30, that the San Juan County Canvassing Board or its duly appointed delegates will convene at 8:30 a.m., December 4, 2025, for the purpose of certifying the manual recount of the votes cast during the 2025 November 4, General Election for the office of Lopez Park and Recreation District Commissioner No. 5.  This meeting will convene in the San Juan County Elections Office at 55 Second St, Suite A, Friday Harbor, WA.

All interested members of the public are invited to observe both the recount and the certification meeting, either in person or virtually.  The Elections Office will livestream the recount on our YouTube channel: San Juan County Elections (https://tinyurl.com/y4pzq86p).
