Representatives from the North Sound Accountable Community of Health will be visiting San Juan County on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, to host public informational sessions on state, regional, and county-level efforts to improve health for people on Medicaid in Washington State.

The North Sound Accountable Community of Health (ACH) is one of nine regional ACHs in the state partnering with the Washington State Health Care Authority to develop and implement Medicaid Transformation Demonstration Projects. The aims of the Medicaid Transformation Demonstration Projects are to promote health care system reform, strengthen community linkages, and identify innovative solutions to lower Medicaid costs while increasing quality of care. The North Sound ACH is visiting all five counties in the North Sound region, to provide information and answer questions about the Medicaid Transformation Projects and how communities can get involved in this work.

The public information session will be held in San Juan County on July 26, 2017, from 3 – 5 p.m. in the Legislative Hearing Room, 55 Second Street, Friday Harbor, WA.

North Sound ACH representatives will also be attending the San Juan County Board of Health meeting (11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.), and San Juan Island Public Hospital District Board meeting (5 p.m. – 7 p.m.) on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, to provide the respective boards with information and answer questions about the North Sound ACH-led work.
