Native North Americans’ art on exhibit this month

The Senior Center of Orcas Island is pleased to present an exhibit of North American Native Culture in the Lundeen Room for the Month of May.

This exhibit includes artifacts and paintings showcasing native cultures from Alaska to Mexico. Come and enjoy the pottery, embroideries, paintings, textiles and masks representing more than 12 different North American tribes including Salish and Tlingit from the Pacific Northwest.

Artists and contributors to this show were Joyce Green, Susan Watkin, Suzanne Lamb, Rich Lavalle, Betty Hall, Robbie Walker, Anita Leigh Holladay, Jacqueline Kempfer, Norm Exton, Joyce Burqhardt, Denise Wilk, Tom & Jenny Welch and Art of the Salish Sea in Eastsound.

The Orcas Senior Center is located at 62 Henry Road in Eastsound. Hours are 9:00am – 4:00pm Monday – Friday.
