Alan Strand from Tacoma’s Nonprofit Center teaches class

Sponsored by the Orcas Island Community Foundation, this session will cover designing and setting up the accounting system for nonprofit organizations.

From your chart of accounts to picking the functional areas you want and need to track, we will go over it all with an emphasis on using QuickBooks in your nonprofit. Once a solid system is in place reporting to grantmakers, board members and preparing your form 990 will be a far simpler process.

If you already have a system in place but still have questions on how to manage it this session is for you too! There will be plenty of time for Q&A.    Call 376-6423 or email, info@oicf.us to register or with questions. Date and time: June 28, 8:30-noon at the Eastsound Fire Hall. Cost: $25
