The Actors Theater of Orcas Island will hold auditions for “Noises Off” by Michael Frayn on Tuesday, Nov. 24th at 7 p.m. at the Grange.
Auditions will consist of group exercises and readings from the script. This play will require split-second timing, a great sense of humor and the willingness to work very hard. There are roles for four women and five men in a wide range of ages.
Many consider “Noises Off” to be the best farce written in the last hundred years. The New York Times called it “The most dexterously realized comedy ever about putting on a comedy.” The New York Post said: “The funniest farce ever written!”
There will be six performances of “Noises Off “in late February. The dates will be announced later. Rehearsals will begin in early December.
