Tuesday, August 25 Free day at Moran State Park
— from the Friends of Moran State Park —
Washington State Parks offers several free days when a Discover Pass is not required to visit a state park. August 25th marks the 99th birthday of the National Park Service – a day we can all say thank you to those who protect America’s most unique and significant sites, lakeshores, and preserves. Congress established the National Park Service in 1916.
Please note, free days apply only to day use (not overnight stays or rented facilities). A Discover Pass is still required to access lands managed by the Washington state departments of Natural Resources and Fish & Wildlife on these days.
