Newest numbers. The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) reported a total of 876,167 confirmed cases as of 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 10. There have been 10,026 COVID-19 deaths in Washington.

Updated DOH guidance documents. These guidance documents received the following updates:
- K-12 COVID-19 Requirements for Summer 2021 and the 2021-2022 School Year
- Updated isolation, quarantine, and testing recommendations throughout document where applicable to align with recent CDC changes.
- Expanded eligibility for and activities allowed during modified quarantine in Test to Stay programs.
- Supplemental Considerations to Mitigate COVID-19 Transmission in K-12 Schools
- Clarified a bus may be considered a structured setting for K-12 close contact exclusion if all other protective measures are in place.
- Included State Board of Education WAC reporting requirement for school closures.
- Updated the DOH Test to Stay Program eligibility to include staff, as well as exposures that occurred outside the school setting. Modified quarantine adjusted to allow participation in extracurricular activities and school-aged child care.
- Integrated recent CDC changes to isolation, quarantine, and testing recommendations throughout document where applicable.
NEW: Reported COVID-19 reinfections in Washington state. This weekly report includes information on hospitalizations and death, demographics, trends over time, and vaccination status of people with a reinfection where DOH has information about both infection events. Read the full Jan. 6 report.

Get a vaccine, exposure notifications, COVID-10 testing, and proof of vaccination. Use the DOH vaccine locator to help end the pandemic. Next, get WA Notify so you’ll know if you’ve been near another person who later tests positive for COVID-19. To get quickly and easily tested anywhere in Washington, visit the DOH COVID-19 testing locations page. For K-12 students, staff, and parents/guardians, learn more about our partnership that helps schools provide easy COVID-19 testing on site. I clicked on the link to get the reopening guidelines from the Governor’s office and nothing happened. Help. I closed the museum in McCleary to all visitors and meetings until February 1st. Then we will revisit the numbers. Just wanted to see what the guidelines really were. L.
