— from Suzanne Olson —
Please write me a letter and tell me about what you are doing during this period of social distancing. I promise to write back to you and will publish your letters in my new vlog: Quarantined Together on Orcas Island.
Write to me at PO Box 1574, Eastsound WA 98245
Tell me your story, including:
1. your name (first name okay) and age
2. what you are doing for work, school and entertainment – or just to get by
3. what you had for breakfast, lunch and dinner yesterday
4. what challenges are you facing? how does it feel?
5. who you are worried about (if you are)
6. what you are grateful for
In writing your letter, you give me permission to publish it.
Let’s stay connected by sharing our stories.
Quarantined Together on Orcas Island will air on Facebook Live Sundays at 3 p.m.
Please share this with your networks. If you are a teacher, please consider assigning a letter to your students for extra credit. If you know someone who is socially isolate – lonely – please print this out for them. I’m happy to provide stamped envelopes if needed.
I’m grateful to be quarantined together on Orcas Island.

Great idea, Suzanne!
We may need Physical Distancing and that is not the same as Social Distancing- In fact, quite the opposite!
There are so many tools to support our connections and we can repair the loose threads on our community fabric.
Great idea, Suzanne!
Suzanne Olson, you are brilliant and a treasure. Thank you for this connective tissue.
Thanks for your support! I’m looking for letters this week. Especially from kids staying home from school. I want to hear all the stories – the good, the bad and the ugly. This is the real stuff.
