The San Juan Islands Museum of Art opens at 4p.m., Saturday, February 14 to the public.
World renowned glass artist William Morris’s work is in two of the galleries. The other gallery has the work of Raven Skyriver (Lopez), Ross Richmond (Stanwood ) and Shelley Muzylowski (Sedro Wooley) and is named GLASS 3. The shows run from Saturday to May 12.
The Grand Opening ribbon cutting will take place at 4 p.m. with the Mayor of the Town of Friday Harbor, Carrie Lacher, doing the honors.
The glass art is one of the larger shows ever of Morris’ work and he will be making a rare and brief appearance at 4 p.m.
