From JoEllen Moldoff

“Leap into Spring: A Poetry Workshop for Readers and Writers” begins on Tuesday May 8 and continues through Tuesday, June 5, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Public Library. JoEllen Moldoff is Facilitator.

Marianne Moore described poetry as: “imaginary gardens with real toads in them.” In this workshop, we will concentrate on the work of a different poet each session, enjoying the variety of styles and voices in the poetry garden. Writing exercises and assignments will be offered to trigger new writing.Poems will be provided in each class. There is no text; however, I recommend Frances Mayes outstanding book, The Discovery of Poetry, available at Darvill’s.

All are welcome: poets, poetry lovers and the curious.

The fee is $15 for library costs and donation, payable at the first session. No advance registration.
