||| FROM KRISTEN ARMIN for SAN JUAN SCULPTURE PARK |||
This lady dinosaur needs a name! Temporarily called Long Neck, the Park’s newest piece will be a permanent installation. All summer long the Park has collected name ideas, receiving over 100 submissions from the community and visitors. Now it’s time to cast your vote on your favorite name! Voting will take place throughout August. You can cast your vote at sjisculpturepark.com/name.
Long Neck was created by artist Joe Treat, who also has two other sculptures at the Park. Visit Long Neck and over 150 other unique creations this summer! This newest addition is located near the fence along Roche Harbor Road, near the entrance sign.
The 20-acre Park is dog-friendly, features five trails, and offers interactive exhibits for both children and adults. The Park is open every day of the year from dawn until dusk. There is no entry fee, but donations are appreciated.
