The Orcas School Gym is packed with young and adult at the MAG School Benefit Concert in March 2009
The annual Music Advocacy Group (MAG) benefit concert for the school music program is coming up!
It’s the MAG’S 11th year of presenting this concert as its only (and very successful) fund raiser for the public school music program. It will take place on Sunday, March 7 at 3 p.m. in the Old School Gym.
Featured groups will include the Orcas Community Band, the Island Sinfonia, the Orcas Choral Society and the High School String Ensemble.
In addition, a music group from the school is also selected to perform each year. This year the Children’s Choir will join with the Choral Society to sing “We Are One.”
Admission is by donation and all proceeds go towards funding the needs of the music program in our public schools.
