The historical museum, under the direction of new Executive Director Nancy Stillger, is putting together a chronological exhibition of historical and artistic maps depicting the San Juan Islands, focusing on Orcas.
Ancillary to the maps will be supportive displays of surveyor’s and navigator’s tools. Anyone having access to such material—and willing to lend it to the museum—is invited to call the Executive Director of the museum, Nancy Stillger, at 360-376-4849.
The tools will be part of a display depicting historical maps from the age of surveyors to the present day, and will be needed for about one year.
