The Orcas Island Historical Museum operates and sustains itself on memberships, donations, grants and a percentage of San Juan County lodging tax. Your generous contributions toward the July 4th auction and additional fundraisers this summer go a long way towards sustaining the Museum, allowing us to continue collecting, preserving and sharing the history of Orcas Island.

The goal is to preserve our past/ the memories and the artifacts to help guide the future for our children and grandchildren…to learn from what has past and enriched our own lives….all of this takes the effort and financial gifts we have available to help fund our historic museum and the precious artifacts of history we are trying to save .all of this costs money…from paying Opalco to help fund our curating skilled staff
The Orcas Island Historical Museum is a must-see and must-support. The Island’s repository for artifacts, collections, exhibits, 6 original log homes and education for kids of all ages…Visit the Museum and learn about History. Come to July 4th Events for enjoyment and to support your Museum!!
