Artsmith weekly Salon Series at Doe Bay Café featuring guest writers from
around the country. The Café features special tapas/small plates and wine specials on the Monday evenings throughout the spring. This week features the talents of poets Kevin Goodan and Rene Keep. Following the featured writers, audience members will have an opportunity to read their own works each week in a special Writer’s Open Mic. All lovers of food, wine and words are welcome! St. Patrick’s Day Parade lines up at Island Market at 11:30 a.m., parades down North Beach Road at noon. Come and wear green and sing a lilting song!

“Fun With Flowers” led by professional flower arranger Rosemarie Altberg. Come for coffee and conversation beginning at 9:30 am. Participants should bring a 7″ to 12″ container for their own special arrangement. The Garden Club is supplying the flowers and floral supplies. In addition to Altberg, Emily Reid and other designers will share their expertise. And if interested, you’re welcome to join the flower committee during the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival.
