Newest numbers. The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) reported a total of 423,626 confirmed cases as of 11:59 p.m. on July 19. There have been 6,056 COVID-19 deaths in Washington.

State calls on providers to continue work to boost COVID-19 vaccination. Gov. Jay Inslee and Secretary of Health Umair A. Shah, MD, MPH announced the Power of Providers (POP) Initiative to continue to encourage all health care providers in the state to reach out and talk to their patients about COVID-19 vaccination. Updated mask requirement signage for businesses. DOH has updated the mask requirement signage for businesses clarifying the indoor mask mandate for those who are not fully vaccinated. The signage can be found on these pages:

COVID-19 long-term care report. As of July 19, a total of 20,803 COVID-19 cases and 2,679 deaths have been identified as associated or likely associated with a long-term care facility (such as nursing home, assisted living facility, or adult family home). Inslee rescinds three proclamations related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gov. Jay Inslee terminated two proclamations and gave advance notice of the termination of one additional proclamation related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Read the full news release here.
