Newest numbers. The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) reported a total of 1,583,206 confirmed cases as of 11:59 p.m. on May 31. There have been 12,876 COVID-19 deaths in Washington.
Data note (Wednesday, June 1): The Hospital Use data will not be updated today due to a technical issue in our data systems. We expect to resume regular reporting on Friday, June 3.

Eligible agencies, local and tribal governments can still receive COVID-19 federal funds grants and reimbursements. The Request for Public Assistance (RPA) deadline is July 1. While not available to the general public, RPAs are available to many smaller jurisdictions and organizations such as libraries, schools and some non-profits. Read the full May 31 news release.
Gov. Jay Inslee rescinds two COVID-19 emergency orders. The proclamations are no longer needed in response to the pandemic. The first pertains to agreements between the governor and tribes restricting use of fuel tax refund monies and will rescind on July 1, 2022. The second is in regard to statutes that regulate public utilities and is effective immediately. Read the June 1 news release.
Reported COVID-19 reinfections in Washington state. This weekly report includes information on hospitalizations and deaths, demographics, trends over time, and vaccination status of people with a reinfection for which DOH has information about both infection events. Read the full June 1 report.

COVID-19 morbidity and mortality by race, ethnicity, and spoken language in Washington state. This bimonthly report provides an overview of confirmed or probable COVID-19 case, hospitalization, and death rates by race and ethnicity at state and regional levels. This weekly report summarizes genome sequencing coverage of Washington SARS-CoV-2 specimens from multiple laboratories from across the United States and our state.
