We’ll need to cancel sailings and adjust the Anacortes/San Juan Islands schedule today due to vessel moves. The current tentative plan is for Chelan to arrive in Anacortes on Sunday, March 1, in time to enter service later this afternoon.
Sunday, March 1
We will operate without a #1 vessel until Chelan arrives. Issaquah will shift to the #2 position, and the route will operate a 3-boat schedule.
Cancelled sailings (#1 vessel):
- 1:30 p.m. Orcas to Shaw, Lopez, and Anacortes (eastbound)
- 3:20 p.m. Anacortes to Shaw and Orcas (westbound)
- 4:35 p.m. Orcas to Shaw to Anacortes (eastbound)
Due to unfavorable tidal currents, the vessel is not expected to arrive in Anacortes until approximately 4:20 p.m.
In an effort to move Orcas Island displaced traffic, the following adjustments have been made to the sailing schedule:
- 4:00 p.m. Anacortes to Friday Harbor (deadhead) will now make a stop at Orcas on its way to Friday Harbor (westbound)
- 7:35 p.m. Friday Harbor to Anacortes will now make an unscheduled stop at Orcas for Anacortes bound traffic. (eastbound)
Reservations
Reservation holders will be prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis on Sunday. Standby travel may be very limited or unavailable. New reservations are blocked on all sailings. No-show fees will be waived if customers cannot travel due to the service disruption.
We will provide updated service information as soon as Chelan’s arrival is confirmed and normal vessel assignments can resume.
