Rogues of the Salish Sea: Smugglers vs. the Law 1880-1932

Continuing our series of events related to the history of smuggling on Orcas and the San Juans this presentation describe both the lawbreakers and those who would enforce the law during the liveliest period of “evil doing” in our history.

Smuggler Kelly, Vic McConnell and others vs. Culver, Lonsdale and the United States Revenue Service in a saltwater game of cat and mouse will be discussed.
