The annual Moran Park Clean Up is this coming Saturday from 10-4. The Friends of Moran organize the event and assist the park rangers throughout the day with a wide variety of tasks to get the Park’s campgrounds, trails and picnic areas ready for visitors. Karen and Ken Speck will host lunch for the workers at 12:30.
Volunteers should meet at the Cascade Lake Shelter beginning at 10am Saturday morning. Work gloves are a good idea, and clean-up tools. The rangers will provide tools too. All levels of skill are appreciated and put to work.
This is an important day in our Park, and Jim Schuh, Park Manager, always says “We couldn’t do this without the help of our Orcas friends. It’s significant what we are able to accomplish in a single day with so much help.”
