Join us for a 70-minute, multi-media presentation, The Wildfire Project: The Era of Megafires, hosted by Dr. Paul Hessburg. This presentation offers a history of wildfire in the west and a discussion about how homeowners and local fire departments can work together to protect communities.
Hessburg is with the Pacific Northwest Research Station in Wenatchee and the U of WA, where he has researched wildfire and landscape ecology for more than 27 years. The presented material comes in the form of fast-moving, short, topic-based talks interspersed with video vignettes. Discussion to follow. Admission is free.
This mixed media presentation is co-sponsored by Rain Shadow Consulting and the San Juan County Conservation District.
